Sri Agastya, also known as Agathiar, Agastyar, Agasti, and Agastiar, is a well-known Vedic sage. Sage Agastya is thought to have helped spread the Vedic religion to southern India. Additionally, Agastya is recognized as one of the Seven Great Sages (Saptarishis). Sage Agasthiyar has also made a significant contribution to Hinduism's four Vedas. Prediction based on Nadi astrology dates back at least 5000 years. Nadi astrology, also known as palm leaf reading, dates back approximately a thousand years. Nadi astrology, also known as Nadi Jothidam, is an ancient form of astrology that was practiced by Indian sages thousands of years ago. The Saptarishis used their yogic powers to write on palm leaves.

With Lord Siva's blessing, ancient saints and rishis were able to predict the past, present, and future. Lord Siva blessed 18 of his disciples, all of whom were able to foresee the future. Sage Agastya had promised that if he saved the nadi leaves from danger, he and his descendants would have success and good fortune. The blessed family known as the "Shiva family," which served as the initial custodian of the nadi manuscripts, was formed by the Brahmin family and subsequent generations. They carried on the spiritual legacy of nadi leaf prediction.
